top 112

Some time ago I joined the self portrait contest of Museum Boymans in Rotterdam.
Last week I heard I'm in the selection of the top 112
From more than 1300 participants!

Today I received an e-mail:

"Unfortunately your portrait is not selected for the exhibition.
It doesn't mean your work isn't good or interesting,the fact
you were selected in the top 112 says enough..."

It would have been nice to see little Red Ridinghood
in our own town Museum, (I was close... :-))

There will be a compilation movie of all portraits besides the exhibition.

The opening is Sunday 24 Februari in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.
I'm planning to go there!

my favorite hat :-)

It's winter in Holland. It's freezing and the world is white.
I am really happy with my hat, it's my friend nowadays :-)

I started with a self portrait series on the 1th of January.
Just for fun, to practice my drawing skills and maybe see some progress.
I try to make a portrait each day.

It's different from my face a day project
Because I don't publish them, only once in a while.
That feels relaxed, no pressure, only for fun :-)
