presentation Kunst Agenda / Art Diary 2013

Yesterday I was in Wageningen
at the presentation of the Art Diary 2013.
Four of my works are in it,
plus lots of works from 12 other artists.

On this photo you can see the 'it's raining men' print
exhibited in the show window of bookstore 'de Kniphorst' in Wageningen.
A few copies will be soon available in the Red Cheeks Factory shop.

Some time ago I bought two books from Sara Fanelli.
The story from Pinocchio, beautifully illustrated by her.
And 'Sometimes I think , Sometimes I am'
full of inspiring texts, drawings and collages.

Yesterday our queen Beatrix gave her Queens speech
She always does this the third tuesday of September
I was inspired by her hat and made this drawing.

Illustrarte 2012

yesterday we went to the Illustrarte exhibition in Ghent in Belgium.
a selection of 50 Illustrators from all over the world
are gathered in this exhibition.

It's a travelling exhibition and they found a really nice way
to expose the works: in cupboards with drawers.
This is what you see when you enter the hall:

There are 150 works to discover
We had to take a break in between, so many nice works to see :-)

There where also some picture books,
so you could see some of the illustrations published.

I'm very glad they also sell a catalog, so I can digest this experience.

It was a very inspiring day, also to visit Ghent, nice city!
