far away, but still near...

Today it's two years ago my Mom died.

For her 80th birthday she got a swing. She was very happy with it.
The last photo taken from her was on her swing,
two weeks later she died suddenly...

Last year I also made a blogpost about her: to honour my Mom...

so touching, but also very beautiful! We should learn a lesson from this story: every day enjoy all kind of funny things.

Carpe diem!

Hi, Nelleke, your drawing, and the memory of your mother in your mind is the best tribute you can do to her, so I think.

I can relate so much to your post. My mother suddenly became ill this Spring...the doctors say her days are numbered. It's been hard to believe because she is doing so well right now.

I am sorry you lost your mom...how special that you honor her the way you do. Big hugs.

OH! She looks SO happy on that swing! What a wonderful woman. I so admire that she still loved to swing on a swing at 80--and that she was open and curious about technology! Your sweet, beautiful illustrations are a wonderful tribute to her. Beautiful.
