This weeks theme of the
pika artist bootcamp Learning and borrowing from history. We went to a museum to choose one painting for inspiration. I went to the Chabot museum and chose
Die Armen from
Heinrich Campendonk I was inspired by his composition and the play between fore- and background. I made this illustration.

Nice! I like the colors and especially the facial expressions.
I'm not familiar with the inspiration piece and couldn't find it online, but I do like the way you used foreground, background and space in this.

ah ja ... dat is mooi het originele schilderij te zien
heel mooi, ik vind hem ook grappig, vooral het figuurtje op de achtergrond, moet ik toch om glimlachen, ook al kijken ze niet blij...
I really like this piece! The color palette and composition are great. You have such a unique illustration style!
